Our yoga classes offer includes small group classes as well as private sessions and events in Rio and online.

Om Yoga Rio offers Vinyasa yoga (dynamic and flowing) and Yin yoga (slow and introspective) classes on Copacabana Beach, in Lagoa, and in Botafogo.

Private lessons, at your home or outdoors, are also available for a personalized and in-depth practice.

Each session includes meditation, pranayama (breathwork), asanas (postures) to improve mobility and flexibility, and a final relaxation. A monthly theme guides the progression of the practice.

  • Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and fluid sequence of postures (asanas), where movement is connected to the breath.
    In each class, we have a defined theme to focus on specific areas of the body.


    Practicing vinyasa yoga helps us develop both our strenght and flexibility, as well as our balance, especially on the beach, and our focus.


    Over time, we become more aware of our bodies, more confident, with the goal of focusing on breathing and relaxing the mind.

  • It’s a rather slow, still type of yoga, where you stay in the postures for several minutes.

    Allowing deep passive relaxation of the muscles, targeting deep tissues like fascias and well-being following the session.

    Yin yoga is said to be gentler with an approach adapted to each student via the functional anatomy methodology, developed by Paul and Suzee Grilley.

  • Yang to Yin is a combination of both vinyasa yoga (yang) and yin yoga (yin!) practice.

    We start with a dynamic practice to move in the middle of the class into stillness to a gentle, yet intense yin sequence.
